HOMECOMING 2016 – SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 11th
If “home is where the heart is”, then there are many people whose hearts are with Mount Pleasant Church on the Second Sunday in September!
Homecoming is an annual opportunity for our hearts, minds and spirits to unite together as one in Christ. Whether we are - local or distant, current members or former, family or friends - Mount Pleasant Church has made an impact on us and through this Church Christ has made an impact on others. Make plans now to attend Homecoming 2016 at Mount Pleasant United Methodist and celebrate our Homecoming 2016 theme: “Yesterday, Today, Forever...”.
The day will start at 9:30 a.m. with Classes for all ages. Worship will be at 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary with Rev. Mick Raynor bringing the Homecoming message. Mick grew up at Mount Pleasant Church, was recently licensed as a Local Pastor in the UMC, and will begin seminary in the Fall at Duke Divinty School.
Following Worship, we will share a Covered Dish Lunch in the Christian Enrichment Center (CEC). The Church will provide drinks and tableware only. Please bring a Main Dish, Sides, and Dessert to share. After Lunch, you are encouraged to play (or watch) a friendly game of Kickball on the ballfield and perhaps even visit the Church Cemetery or walk the Nature Trail.
It is going to be a great day at Mount Pleasant Church! Be sure to invite others to attend and make this the best Homecoming yet!
